First of all, you must have completed the quest The War Within, be at least Mastery Rank 5, and own a Railjack. To be able to access your lich's final battle, you must also have at least one rank 5 Railjack intrinsic among the following: Tactical, Piloting, Gunnery, Engineering or Command. The Railjack is unlocked via the quest Rising Tide, which is now part of the main progression and becomes accessible after progressing to the Pluto Junction and unlocking The War Within. The Railjack is essential, because the final confrontation against the lich takes place in a dedicated mission in Saturn Proxima.

Do not start a lich if you do not have at least one copy of all 8 Requiem mods.
Each mod has 3 charges, and a charge is only consumed when it is part of the valid sequence at the time you finish your lich. In practice, this gives you plenty of time to see it coming and rebuild your stock as you progress.
Today, it's even more comfortable, because by doing liches you will also recoverEterna relics, a type of relic designed to simplify obtaining Requiem mods. The most important thing at the start is therefore simply to have your 8 words a first time, to avoid finding yourself stuck in the middle of the hunt.

1. By farming Kuva Siphons and Kuva Fortressmissions. Among them, one mission has a different symbol: Kuva Flood. It's the most interesting one, because it gives a 100% chance for a Requiem relic. The other missions can also give them, but it's not guaranteed.
2. From Palladino, at Iron Wake on Earth, in exchange for Riven Slivers.
3. By trading them with other players. Personally, I have so many that I often give them away, and many players do the same. Otherwise, you can also buy them directly on Warframe Market for about 1 to 2 Platinum each.

They have their own Requiem Void Fissure missions, which allows opening them without interfering with Prime relic farming. My favorite mission remains Taveuni, because it allows racking up a good amount of Kuva in addition to opening your relics. If you are simply looking for something fast, Extermination missions do the job very well.

First of all, choose your frame carefully, it will influence your weapon's progenitor element. If you make a mistake or ignore this step, it's not a grave error, there is even an item that allows you to freely choose your valence element: The Elemental Vice, click to see a demonstration. The mission used to spawn your lich must contain Grineer of at least level 20. Cassini on Saturn, is clearly THE mission that everyone uses for this.
Also remember to set yourself to solo mode and not in public, so as not to be disturbed by other players.

Kill all the enemies you cross and above all do not rush to extraction. Your screen will start blinking. From there, you must kill a maximum of enemies until the red objective appears. If you have trouble spotting enemies, think of the Animal Instinct mod on your companion, and also activate character highlighting via Esc > Options > Accessibility > Character Highlight. Personally, I set it to red. When the objective appears, shoot it. It has very little health, but do not execute it too fast: the future lich's weapon appears above it. If it doesn't suit you, do not execute it, you must extract, and the game will not offer you this weapon again. This feature resets once your lich is completed.

Personally, I was able to level all my lich weapons to 60% without much effort, simply by buying them from other players. Very often, you can find them on Warframe Market for trivial amounts, sometimes with a very high percentage.

You executed the Larvling. Upon returning to your orbiter, press Esc: at the bottom right of the screen, right next to Nightwave, you will see a red symbol appear that you didn't have before. This is where you will get to know the lich, the one that will ruin your life until you finally decide to deal with it. We are now going to break down this screen together.

Above, you have the current level of the lich. It can go up to rank 5 maximum, and at that point it gets really angry. The higher its level, the more damage it deals.

Then, its 4 abilities. Very often, these are what cause problems. If you never want to be bothered, you should always helminth Banshee's Silence ability onto your frame. It prevents enemies from casting abilities. Remember to keep it active at all times.
By the way, for me, Banshee is the best Warframe to use for doing liches. Her 2 spawns weak points that drastically increase your damage, her 3 prevents the lich from casting abilities, and on her 4 I helminth Sevagoth's Gloom to slow down the lich even more, because she will clearly try to break you in half.
Finally, its interest to you: the more angered it is, the higher the chance it will spawn.

Weakness: in this scenario, the lich has a weakness to toxin. If I build my weapon with this element, I will therefore deal 50% extra damage to it.
Resistance: here, it resists slash and radiation. It therefore reduces the damage of these effects by 50%.
Weapon: I intentionally chose the Kuva Ghoulsaw. At the time of writing this guide, it just arrived.
Weapon Bonus: 42%, it's not crazy, but it's not bad either. This percentage will always be between 25% and 60%. It influences the damage this element will do, whether combined or not.
Genesis: the mission in which this lich was discovered.
Responsible: the frame it was generated with.

To know if your lich has an Ephemera, you'll need to be somewhat observant.
Each Ephemera is tied to an element, and all elements have their own Ephemera. They are listed on the wiki, click here if you want to see them.
Concretely, if you notice a glow, aura, or special visual effect around your lich, it means it has an Ephemera.
Very useful information to know: if you decide to convert your lich to then sell it on Warframe Market, you still get the Ephemera, and the person who buys it from you gets it too.
So yes, it's clearly the kind of detail you better spot.

Before talking about the Requiem mods to place and the strategy I adopt, I first want to talk to you about the Requiem mod Oull. This mod represents all symbols. It is extremely practical, and you will regularly acquire them by doing your liches or by fusing your damaged Requiem mods. Generally, you get more Oull than what you consume, so if you want to force fate a bit, you can always ask a friend for one or buy one on Warframe Market. On the other hand, no, you can only equip one at a time, you little rascal. You can well imagine that otherwise, we would all put 3 Oulls to directly have the right code and be done with it.

Here is the most important part: the code to find to finish your lich. At the beginning, there are way too many possibilities to hope to one-shot your lich, even though it has already happened to many of us... and for my part, twice. At the bottom right, you can modify your Parazon. This is where you will equip your Requiem mods to start testing the correct combination.

You have surely noticed that on Earth, quite a few missions have a red effect. It is in these missions that you will have to execute, with the X key to activate your Parazon, the marked enemies. With each execution, a gauge gradually fills up until it allows you to unlock part of the code. Very important piece of info: when a member of your squad sees their lich spawn and tries to execute it to test their code, it also greatly progresses their teammates' gauges. That's why it is, in my opinion, very important to always play in public. Personally, I even often go further: I set myself to North America to find squads more easily. To do this: Esc > Options > System, then you change the region.

My strategy is to always start by putting Oull first to grind a maximum of murmurs. Then, I put two random mods if needed. I then launch a few public missions, starting with the fastest ones: E Prime, Mariana, Mantle. Generally, by this time, I have already discovered my first word, which I place directly in first position, then I put Oull second. From the moment I validate the first Requiem, I often already had time to unlock the second word, which means I only have two possibilities to test. And then, we really start saving time.
Example of a case where you have really no luck to understand properly:

• I start with Oull / any / any

• I discover Fass as the first word

• I put Fass / Oull / any

• My lich spawns on Earth: it is not Fass in the first position

• I therefore move Fass to second, which gives: Oull / Fass / any

• I unlock the second word, it is Xata, so I end up with: Oull / Fass / Xata

• My lich spawns on Mars: it is not Fass in the second position

• I move Fass to the third position so I only have a one-in-two chance,

• Either Oull / Xata / Fass or Xata / Oull / Fass

If you want to save time, you can use the Ultimatum to force your lich to spawn. You just need to put it in your gear wheel, and then launch it in a mission controlled by your lich.
However, remember to check your Requiem mods on the Parazon before using it. We've all made the mistake of launching it too fast, seeing the lich pop... and realizing the Parazon wasn't ready.
The Ultimatum can be obtained in two ways: By doing liches, you have a chance to get one at the end and/or from Palladino, at Iron Wake, in exchange for Riven Slivers.
It's clearly a very handy tool if you want to go faster and avoid waiting for your lich to finally decide to show its face.

In 2026, I think it's better to choose a Warframe that gives a progenitor element with an Ephemera you don't have yet. While doing a lich, you might as well take the opportunity to go get something you're actually missing. Here is the list by clicking here
The elemental vice is relatively accessible and if you're like everyone else you aren't going to play every weapon.

Here is a small tier list of weapons to acquire as a priority. In top 1, I would clearly put the Kuva Nukor. It's a weapon that builds easily, is very effective, and will allow you to clear the whole star chart very comfortably. And if you get the Secondary Fortificationarcane, it becomes even more violent.

Equip your Requiem mods, as seen previously: Oull / 1 of the 8 mods / 1 of the 8 mods. You don't have to keep the Warframe you used to spawn your lich. Right now, I love running with Uriel, but I also like doing my liches with Banshee, Xaku, Caliban, Gauss, Kullervo and many others. In 2026, honestly, all frames can do the job. The most important thing is above all to play something you are comfortable with. And don't forget that Banshee's Helminth solves the problems related to liches casting abilities very well. If you aren't convinced yet, wait until you run into a lich with an immortality ability, or worse, a lich that inflicts Radiation on you and your mates... and then, everyone kills each other in joy and good humor.

For builds, you will find plenty on this site. For my part, I generally start with the shortest missions: E Prime, Mariana, Mantle, Pacific, Cambria, Cervantes. And if the lich still hasn't decided to show its face, I follow up with Lith and Coba Defenses. And then really, if it still hasn't popped, you need to start questioning your bad luck by continuing with Gaia Interception... and last Excavation. And yes, Excavation is long.

Like 99% of players, you didn't find the right code on Earth. Reorder your Requiem mods properly, then we move on to Mars with: Ara, Ultor, Ares, Gradivus, Hellas and Martialis. If it still hasn't popped, launch Wahiba to do a Survival. Liches often have good chances of appearing in slightly longer missions. And for the unlucky ones, we then follow up with Kadesh and Spear Defenses, the Olympus Disruption, then finish with Interceptions and Mobile Defenses. Là, franchement, si vous devez en arriver jusque-là, c’est la tristesse… mais force à vous.

As expected, Mars wasn't enough and your lich keeps wasting your time. So we move on to Ceres. Remember to readapt your Requiem mods, then quickly run through: Pallas, Lex, Nuovo, Ker, Thon. Then, continue with the Draco and Gabii Survivals, then finish with the3 Defenses. And if despite everything it still refuses to come, you must accept a simple truth:your lich personally hates youGenerally you will finish your rank 5 lich on Ceres if you do things right.

Your lich is still not done with you, so head to Sedna. Remember to readapt your Requiem mods. À ce stade, vous êtes normalement tout près de la fin, donc le but n’est plus vraiment de réfléchir, mais de put an end to this soap opera. We will therefore prioritize long missions, because you should normally have discovered at least 2, or even all 3 words: Adaro, Selkie, Amarna. If you are in emotional distress, you can then follow up with a bit more chill missions: Rusalka, Naga, then the Sangeru and Hydron Defenses. And if even on Sedna it continues to play hard to get, you have to face facts: it's no longer a lich, it's a toxic ex.

Last step: the Kuva Fortress. If your lich has taken you this far, already, stay strong. Normally, at this stage, you have all the necessary info, so the goal is simple: make it pop one last time and put an end to this masquerade.
Chain fortress missions while keeping your Parazon up to date, because it would be terrible to reach the final boss of this toxic relationship with the wrong Requiem mods. The nicest missions to do are Taveuni, Tamu, Nabuk and Dakata. The rest, honestly, is hell. And don't forget either that there are enemies that remain immortal until you strip their defenses with your Tenno. If despite everything it is still slow to appear, tell yourself one thing:it's no longer a hunt, it's a bad breakup.

For the final battle, go to your orbiter navigation. In the top right, a symbol will blink next to your Railjack. Click on it.

On Saturn, you will find the mission for your final battle. I generally advise doing it insolo, but if you are a beginner, do it rather in public. It's just very long to have to endure all your squadmates' final battles, but taking advantage of someone more advanced's Railjack can clearly save you time. You will start with a Railjack phase, with a few objectives displayed on the left of your screen. Once this part is finished, all you have to do is join the mission where your lich is located.

When you execute your lich during the final battle, you will have two choices:

Either convert it, so it can become one of your Railjack crew members, or randomly appear in your missions when the game thinks you need a helping hand.

Either vanquish it permanently.

If your lich has an Ephemera, you will get it regardless of your choice. On the other hand, if you convert it, you can also sell it to another player on Warframe Market.

In general, prices hover around:

• 50 plat for a lich between 25 and 40%

• about the same price if it has a common Ephemera, like Toxin or Magnetic

• 300 plat if it has a rare Ephemera

• around 300 plat if it has a high percentage, between 55 and 60%

• and about 600 to 1000 plat for the combo high percentage + rare Ephemera

It's still best to go take a look directly on Warframe Market to see the state of the market. And above all, look closely at the sellers "in game", not those who haven't logged in for three and a half months.

All the loot your lich had stolen from you finally come home.

If you vanquish the lich, you will find its weapon directly in your foundry. If you ever have no weapon slot available, you will simply have to wait until you have a free one before you can claim it. For Kuva and Tenetweapons, the mastery restriction doesn't really apply like for standard weapons. For example, Kuva Nukor shows a mastery restriction of 15, but a Mastery Rank 10 player can still equip it. And if your lich had an Ephemera, it will be directly added to your cosmetics. Its name was normally sent to you via in-game inbox.

This sheet is not final, but it already gives you a good idea of the generally most appreciated elements on each lich weapon.
